MENDHAR, June 18: Several villages, especially those closer to the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch, are reeling under acute shortage of waster.
Reports said that due to leakage in PHE pipes and fault developed in some water pumping stations, the water supply in many villages like Lanjiot, Kallar, Kalaban, Bhati Dhar, Deri Dabsi, Balakote Forward, Sangiot etc has been badly affected. The people of these areas are facing lot of hardships.
The villagers have urged upon the concerned PHE authorities at Mendhar to provide tanker water to these areas till the normal water supply is restored to these villages.
