BANIHAL, Apr 15: Several prominent political activists, including those from the BJP and PDP of Banihal Assembly Constituency today joined National Conference and pledged to strengthen the party at the grass root level.
The political activists of village Sabagni of Tehsil Ramsoo joined NC in presence of the District president Sajjad Shaheen, who hoped that the new entrants would join the mass outreach of the party in various parts of the segment, identify peoples’ problems and seek their redressal at appropriate forums.
Shaheen described the joining of more and more public spirited persons into the NC as encouraging saying this is the only choice for them keeping in view the party’s track record of public service and upholding the dignity of the people of all the regions of the State. He said maintaining communal harmony and regional unity is cherished agenda of National Conference. He made a passionate appeal to the people to come forward in a big way in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections and vote for secular forces.
