Excise Deptt organizes prog on drug- addiction

JAMMU, Apr 15: The J&K Excise Department, under ‘Corpus Social Responsibility’ organised mega painting competition- cum- awareness campaign on ‘Say no to Drugs’ here today in which more than 150 students of different schools participated.
In the sub- junior category first three prizes were awarded to Gursewak Singh of Govt Middle School, Shruti Sharma of EPHSS Thathri and Ahaan Gupta of British International School Jammu, respectively . In the junior category first three prizes were awarded to Atharv Dabgotra of Heritage School Jammu, Akanksha Gupta of DPS Jammu and R Vijay Aditya of Heritage School, respectively.
In the senior category first three prizes were awarded to Mohit Munday of Children Village Gole Gujral, Nitika Khullar of GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu and Ishit Kour of KC School, Jammu.
Dr Gurmeet Kour, Drug de-addiction Specialist delivered a key note lecture on the occasion while educating the students about the harmful effects of drugs.
Excise Commissioner, M Raju presided over the function. Among others present on the occasion include Amarjeet Singh, Deputy Excise Commissioner (Exe) Jammu, Pankaj Sharma Deputy Excise Commissioner (Distilleries) Jammu, Shagun Sharma, Deputy Excise Commissioner (Accounts) Jammu, Ankur Mahajan, Principal Training Institute Nagrota and several ETOs and Inspectors.
