JAMMU, Mar 3: Health and Medical Education Department today accorded sanction to the promotion of faculty members of Government Medical College, Srinagar as Incharge Professors and Incharge Associate Professors in various disciplines.
Faculty members who have been promoted include Dr. Rizwana Habib Kanth as Incharge Professor in Obsts and Gynae.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul, Dr. Badri Nath and Dr. Mohd Ismail were promoted as Incharge Associate Professors in Medicine.
Dr. Junaid Salam Wani promoted as Incharge Professor while as, Dr. Ajaz Akbar Wani and Dr. Sajad Bashir Khanday have been promoted as Incharge Associate Professors in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Bashir Ahmad Mir promoted as Incharge Professor and Dr. Naseem-ul-Gani promoted as Incharge Associate Professor in Orthopaedics.
Dr. Khurshid Ahmad Wani promoted as Incharge Professor while as, Dr. Shafat Ahmad Tak and Dr. Syed Tariq Ahmad Bukhari were promoted as Incharge Associate professors in Paediatrics.
Dr. Sheikh Imran Syed promoted as Incharge Associate Professor in Physiology.
Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Mir was promoted as Incharge Associate Professor in Surgery.
Dr. Majid Jehangir has been promoted as Incharge Professor while as Dr. Shabir Ahmad Bhat was promoted as Incharge Associate Professor in Radio Diagnosis.
Dr. Lateef Ahmad Wani was promoted as Incharge Associate Professor in Pathology.
Further Dr. Badri Nath, Assistant Professor, Medicine, on his placement as Associate Professor shall report to the Principal GMC, Srinagar for further duties.
