JAMMU, Jan 16: Advisor to Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma today listened to the issues and grievances projected by scores of delegations and individuals during his public hearing, here at today.
Several delegations and individuals from across the State met the Advisor and sought early redressal of their issues and grievances.
Residents of Mahore, Reasi drew the attention of the Advisor towards the delay in the construction of roads under PMGSY in the area. The Advisor issued on-spot instructions to the concerned functionaries for conducting an enquiry into the matter and take corrective steps.
A delegation of residents of Billawar apprised the Advisor about the several development issues of the area including construction of roads, University campus, compensation to owners of land coming in  Billawar –Katli road alignment, shifting of Divisional Store PDD, construction of Public Toilet and many alike.
The Advisor asked the delegation to submit area specific demands to his office for examination and necessary action.
A delegation of DRW, PHE apprised the Advisor regarding the issue of the regularization of their services.
Residents of Drass, Kargil demanded     construction of link road to the village.
A delegation of PHE Workers Association demanded increase in the honorarium.
Delegations of Bottlers Association and Contractor Association also met the Advisor and submitted their demands.
Several other delegations and individuals put-forth their issues pertaining to PHE, PWD, service related grievance, land compensation, revenue record, construction of roads and alike
The Advisor assured that all the genuine issues put forth during the daily public hearing will be taken for necessary action after examination.            He also passed on-spot directions in certain matters projected by the visiting individuals and delegations.
The Advisor asked the delegations seeking redressal in service matters to bring their issues at the Service Grievance Committee constituted by the government for the purpose.
