Seven injured as bus rams into tree

JAMMU, May 5: Seven passengers were injured today when the bus in which they were travelling met with an accident in Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, today at about 11 am a Bus bearing registration number JK02L-4821 on way from Akhnoor to Jourian met with an accident at Naiwala, when the driver lost control over the bus and it rammed into a tree.
In the mishap, seven passengers including driver namely Prem Singh (28) son of Chajju Singh, a resident of Naryana (28 yrs), Anita Kumari (32) wife of Ravi Kumar of Ranjan (32 yrs), Sunita Devi (30) wife of Ashwani Kumar of Naiwala Camp, Kamlesh Devi (50) wife of Satish Malgotra of Ustad Mohalla (Jammu), Kamlesh Devi (37) wife of Balbir Singh of Bardal Kalan, Pushpa Devi wife of Rampal, a resident of Sainth, at present residing in Surya Vihar (Muthi) and Melo Devi wife of Shanker Dass got injured.
All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor for treatment. Later, the seriously injured Sunita Devi was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
