RAMBAN, May 30: Seven persons were hurt, when a vehicle (tempo traveller) overturned at Peedah, area of Chanderkote on Jammu Srinagar National Highway today.
According to the reports, a rashly driven tempo traveller bearing registration number JK14B-1370 on its way to Srinagar from Jammu went out of control of its driver and overturned at Peedah, on National Highway, resulting in seven people’s sustained injuries. The injured persons were rushed to District Hospital Ramban for treatment.
Police identified the injured as Rajinder Singh,(60), son of Harpal Singh, Narinder Kour (52), wife of Rajinder Singh resident residents of Khanji Bagh Baramulla, Sulikha (20) daughter of Mohammad Jaffar Lone resident of Kupwara, Insha (20), daughter of Tahir Khan resident of Baramulla, Junaid Nazir (33), son of Nazir Ahmed resident of Shopian and Sumera (32), wife of Junaid Khan resident of Baramulla and driver Bilal Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmad, resident of Lar, Tehsil Mahore,Reasi.

Later after providing medical aid at District Hospital, a seriously injured couple identified Rajinder Singh,(60), and his wife Narinder Kour (52), were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for specialized treatment.
SHO Police Station Chanderkote, JS Rakwal confirmed the incident and said a case FIR No. 84 of 2024 under Sections 279, 337 IPC, stands registered in this Police Station, Chanderkote and further investigation started.
