JAMMU, Dec 30: Spokesperson Jammu Kashmir Nati onal United Front (JKNUF), Rakesh Handoo today urged the Government to settle the demand of the package employees who are on protest for last over 200 days at Jammu by relocating them outside Valley.
In a statement issued here, today he expressed serious concern over the tough stance taken by JK UT administration against these employees who are on the one hand facing the threat of militants and anti national elements in Valley and on the other hand are being harassed by the administration.
Handoo took up the issue with various BJP leaders at Delhi and Lucknow in UP during his tour to these two states and sought their immediate intervention in settling this vexed issue as entire Kashmir Pandit community has shown its serious concern the way UT administration was tackling this sensitive issue. He said despite the announcement of package over 10 years back the Government has failed to construct the quarters for these employees and they are being forced to live on rented accommodations where they have no sense of security.
