KISHTWAR, May 2: Shiv Sena (Shinde) Labour Wing while highlighting the problems of workers of Rattle Power Project, Kishtwar has urged the authorities of Project to settle the problems of 36 project workers whose services were not regularised by the Project authorities.
The Sena Zonal president erstwhile Doda district Tilak Raj Shan while addressing a meeting of the party’s Labour Wing said he has submitted a memorandum to Regional Labour Commissioner and sought his intervention in the matter. He demanded that these workers be paid allowances as admissible under rules, Over Time, monthly bonus and also be issued Identity Cards.
Shan also appealed the Region Labour Commissioner, Jammu to visit the Rattle Project to ascertain the problems of workers there and ensure that the norms under labour laws are implemented.
He appealed Regional Labour Commissioner to visit on the spot for checking the arrangements/ working condition of the labours and other technical workers, the basic amenities, safety and security of the workers working in the Rattle Hydro Power Project, Drabshalla.
Shan urged to Region Labour Commissioner to issue necessary directions to the Project Head so that the poor workers may not suffer more for want of basic facilities which are necessary for their survival.
