Septuagenarian killed, 4 injured as car rolls down

BHADERWAH, July 13: A septuagenarian woman was killed, while 4 others were injured when the Alto car they were traveling in skidded off the road and fell into gorge at Guldanda area here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing Registration Number JK06-8783 was on its Bhaderwah from picnic spot Chattergalla, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into gorge near Guldanda, resulting into on the spot death of a lady and injuries to four others.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured persons were shifted to SDH Bhaderwah, from where one was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Rehmta Begum (72), wife of Ghulam Hussian of Thathri, while the injured were identified as Barshat Begum, wife of Ghulam Rasool of Bhaderwah, Nasreena Begum, wife of late Tasaduq Hussian, Gulnaza Begum, wife of late Ghulam Nabi of Bhaderwah and Mohammad Alyas (Driver), son of Mohammad Assan of Thathri.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Bhaderwah Police Station and investigation started.
