Srinagar, Mar 20: Senior journalist and writer Maqbool Sahil, passed away here this evening.
Sahil who was walking in Lal Bazar area Srinagar city fell on the road due to massive heart attack. The passersby rushed him to the SKIMS hospital where he was declared brought dead.
A prolific writer, poet and journalist Sahil was author of many books.
He was currently working as senior editor at Rising Kashmir. On March 10 this year Sahil was given the “Best Staffer Award” by Rising Kashmir
Kashmir Federation of Working Journalists (KFWJ) expressed shock on the demise of Sahil. They prayed for the peace to the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the family.
Director Information and Public Relations, Muneer-ul-Islam, has expressed grief and anguish over the demise of veteran journalist Maqbool Sahil. He while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul has expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
