JAMMU, Sept 12: Nirmal Jandial (Nikki), 55, sister of Jammu based Senior Journalist, Rohit Jandial passed away today after a brief illness.
She was a teacher by profession and breathed her last at Government Medical College Jammu this morning.
Deceased’s another brother Sanjeev Jandial is Municipal Councillor, one of her brother Vinay Jandial is Senior Journalist with Hindi daily national and her one more brother Rajiv Jandial is Ex-president All J&K Jandial Sabha.
According to family members, Nirmal was cremated at her native place Ramnagar of District Udhampur today.
For her dedication and commitment to job, the deceased has won many awards and appreciation certificates including the best polling booth management during the last parliamentary polls when she headed the all women booth in Ramnagar.
Journalist fraternity of Jammu has condoled the sad demise of the sister of Rohit Jandial and has expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and also prayed for peace to the departed soul.
