JAMMU, May 14: Reiterating the demand for free registration of annual Amarnath Yatra, J&K Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) unit has decided to continue its ongoing agitation till the Government considers the demand.
This was stated by Manish Sahni, president J&K Shiv Sena while addressing a press conference here today.
Sahni told reporters that Shiv Sena high command has instructed them to intensify and continue the movement till the demand is conceded.
He said that a team of J&K Shiv Sena leaders led by him had met party Yuva Sena chief and MLA, Aditya Thackeray in Mumbai on May 11 and submitted him a memorandum demanding free registration for Amarnath Yatra.
Sahni said that Aditya Thackeray has raised the issue before the Governor of Maharashtra and J&K LG.
“Following instructions of Party High Command, Shiv Sena is going to stage a protest demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi within next few days in which senior leaders of the Party including Raj Mata Jhande Wale Mandir, Swami Rajeshwaranand Maharaj from Delhi Avsant Samaj, National President of Uttar Bharatiya Ekta Manch, Ashok Tiwari and Delhi president, Vikrant will also join.
Shiv Sena Women Wing president, Meenakshi Chibber; chairman, Rakesh Gupta and general secretary, Vikas Bakshi were also present in the press conference.
