JAMMU, Nov. 13:- Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackeray) today demanded holding of Panchayat elections immediately and urged the Election Commission to announce the dates at earliest.
While addressing the media persons here, today, State president of Shiv Sena, Dimpy Kohli along with general secretary, Manish Sahni has asked the Government not to delay the elections this time as done earlier due to one or other excuse. Kohli said that Shiv Sena candidates will file their nomination for all seats of Jammu.
Sahni further blamed the Government especially the BJP leaders of State feels afraid of their defeat in election if announced soon. Sahni said that BJP has damaged its position and betrayed the people of J&K.
The Shiv Sena leaders also appealed the Government to make all adequate security arrangements to hold free and fair Panchayat election and none may dare to disturb the election.
Kohli further said that the Centre leadership of Shiv Sena including Anil Desai (MP) and Party national secretary and Viney Shukla Co-ordinator have authorised the State unit to abolish the post of State Chairman and Deputy Chairman.
Those present in the press conference included President, Dimpy Kohli , general secretary Sena Manish Sahni, working president Ashwani Gupta, State vice president, Ranjeev Bhandari, VP Rajan Gupta, Vikas Dewan, Nathpal Chowdary will select the candidates for Panchyat election and will campaign.
