Sena asks Centre to make formal announcement on AIIMS

JAMMU, June 16: Shiv Sena today asked the BJP to clear the stand on establishment of AIIMS in Jammu once for all.
Talking to reporters her, today, president of the Sena Dimpy Kohli, its State chairman Rakesh Gupt and general secretary, G I Singh said the Party should not give confusing statements over the issue. They said that all Sena MPs in Parliament have extended full support in establishment of AIIMS at Jammu.
They said a delegation of Sena which met the leaders of the Party in New Delhi were informed that the Sena leadership at Delhi had taken up the issue with BJP and other NDA leaders and BJP and other NDA leaders were unanimous that AIIMS will be set up at Jammu.
The Sena leaders also made an appeal to AIIMS Coordination Committee not to let the vested elements to hijack the issue. They asked Bar Association Jammu and Chamber of Commerce and Industry to remain vigilant against the nefarious designs of such elements.
The Sena leaders also urged the Union Government to come out with a formal announcement regarding establishment of AIIMS in Jammu to end the controversy created over the issue.
