JAMMU, June 26: One day national seminar on Spirituality, Morality and Education was organized today at GDC Bhaderwah.
Prof SS Bhalwal, Principal of the college presented welcome address, while Prof Assadullah Wani presented the key note address. Prof Mohammad Iqbal, former Principal of the college and Prof Basharat Iqbal also shared their valuable thoughts in the inaugural session.
Prof GM Bhat, Rector Bhaderwah Campus Jammu University was the chief guest who delivered a thought provoking lecture to inspire and motivate the budding scholars and the young faculty.
The formal vote of thanks in the inaugural session was proposed by Prof SS Parihar HoD Economics and the session was compared by Prof Bal Krishan Assistant Prof in Zoology.
A total of 35 research papers were received from research scholars and the academicians from various colleges and universities of India. There were two technical sessions of paper presentations. The first technical session was chaired by Dr Javed Iqbal HoD Botany and co-chaired by Prof Mushtaq Ahmed and Rajiv Katoch. The second technical session was chaired by Dr Nisar Ahmed Bullah HoD Chemistry and co-chaired by Prof NK Manhas and Dr Reyaz Ahmed.
The first technical session was compared by Prof Pinki Kotwal Assistant Prof in Physics and the second technical session was compared by Dr Reyaz Ahmed.
The reporter for the first technical session was Prof. Vijay Kumar, Assistant Prof in Urdu and for the second technical session was Prof Rakesh Pandit, Assistant Prof in Physics.
A valedictory function was organized, which was presided over by Dr Mohammad Iqbal, Former Principal of the College. Dr Javed Iqbal presented the welcome address, while Principal Prof SS Bhalwal presented the concluding remarks. The seminar culminated by the distribution of certificates of participation by the chief guest.
Prof Prithvi Raj, HOD Commerce compared the valedictory session and Prof Deepa Kak proposed vote of thanks.
HDFC Bank Branch Bhaderwah under the aegis of its Manager co-sponsored the event. Prof Mushtaq Ahmed, HoD Persian was the organizing secretary and the co-ordinator of the seminar. The logistic support was arranged by Prof Katoch, HoD English and Prof Jai Mala, HoD Sociology.
