The JKPSC invited applications for recruitment of Medical Officers in Health & Medical Education Department and asked the applicants to enclose scanned copies of all the certificates required documents with the application forms.
On scrutiny of the documents certain applicants were asked to make deficient documents rectified. The applicants whose documents were deficient completed their deficiencies before written test and they were allowed to sit in the written examination for Medical Officers on 01.11.2020.
The result of written examination was declared and the applicants who were declared qualified in the written examination were asked for verification of original documents on various dates by the JKPSC.
During verification of original documents the applicants were not informed of the deficiencies and they were told documents are OK.
The selection list of applicants published on the website of the commission dated 14.12.2020 on 16.12.2020 mentioned that the recommendations of the 168 selected Medical Officers were kept withheld.
There is no mention of the reasons of keeping the selection withheld in the notification.
When the recommended applicants started to enquire the reasons for keeping their recommendations withheld , the people attending phone calls were not able to tell the reasons for keeping the recommendations withheld.
There was no demand from aspirant Medical Officers to declare the selection list. But the commission verified the documents twice first at the time of inviting applications and again on the declaration of the written examination.
It is very surprising and astonishing to find that a commission like JKPSC is putting the selected Medical Officers to harassment and victimisation by adopting such an attitude.

Repair Suryavanshi lanes
This is draw the attention of the JMC authorities towards the deplorable condition of Suryavanshi Colony lanes in Muthi.
The lanes have developed numerous puddles which often remain water logged, and cause immense discomfort to motorists and people living here.
While driving through these lanes water splashes here and there causing embarrassment not only to pedestrians but also to motorists as well.
It is requested that these lanes be widened and blacktopped to make movement smooth. Hope necessary action in this regard will be taken by the Jammu Municipal Authorities.

Will JK SSB clarify
JKSSB has advertised various posts under Prime Minister’s Package vide Advt No. 03 of 2020. It also includes posts of SC, ST quota. When I tried to submit my application form, it was not accepted, as I do not fall under Migrant or Kashmiri Pandit category. Does it mean that posts under SC, ST category will go to KPs?

Overloading in Ramnagar
We want to draw the attention of the District Administration Udhampur towards overloading in passengers vehicles in Ramnagar.
One can see matador drivers boarding passengers not only inside the cabin but outside as well on rooftops and ladders.
This puts all passengers not only in an embarrassing position, but also puts their lives in danger. Many overloading accidents have been already observed in the area in which many passengers got hurt. In case overloading is not stopped, it may likely result in more accidents.
One wonders what happens to the daily drives against overloading launched by the Traffic Department from time to time as is claimed by the Department.
The routes like Chenani to Gharia are worst hit where overloading continues unabated.
It is requested that the administration takes cognizance of the same at the earliest in the interest of people.

Complete Keri-Kangra- BG road
Despite highlighting the issue of Keri-Kangra-BG road with the concerned authorities and the through print media, the condition of this road continues to worsen.
Keri-Kangra-BG road is an important road for a population of more than 50,000 living in this neglected part of the UT.
It may be mentioned here that the construction of this road was started in 1986, and it has witnessed many delays since then. Despite elapsing of three decades it has not been completed yet causing many heartburns and inconvenience among the local populace.
At a time when a network of roads is laid throughout the country, under different schemes one wonders why this road does not reach to its conclusion.
It is requested to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to direct the authorities to complete this road and make it traffic worthy.

Though road is being paved with tiles and is being repaired, but work going on it is at a slow pace. This has resulted in inconvenience to the residents of the area. The people face problems particularly during evening hours when they return from their offices or market. In case of a medical emergency, people find it quite difficult to shift the patient to a hospital through this road. As such it is requested that work on this road be expedited to allow smooth vehicular and pedestrian movement .
