JAMMU, Oct 28: The 45 displaced Kashmiri Pandit candidates who are sitting on dharna near Press Club, Jammu for last 26 days have expressed their utmost displeasure over the delaying tactics of the UT Government in issuing the recruitment orders in their favour despite the fact that they were selected under PM package in various Government Departments in the year 2017 by Service Selection Board (SSB) though due process of law.
The protesting candidates with placards and banners in their hands raised slogans against the apathy of the Government towards them saying that it is a pity that during last three years the appointment orders have not been issued in their favour putting their career into jeopardy.
They said that some of the candidates have already become over aged and are unable to apply for the Government jobs and delaying the issuance of the appointment orders has led to their further desperation which they have been already facing due to pangs of migration.
The protesting candidates including some females made an appeal to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha urging him to look into the issue and direct the concerned authorities to do the needful in this regard as early as possible so that these youth are saved from further mental agony and tension.
