MUMBAI, Nov 2: Select metals rose in ferrous and non-ferrous metals today, on fresh demand from stockists, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.
In ferrous metals, brass utensils moved up by Rs 100 to Rs 34,600 per quintal on good demand from local dealers.
Copper wire bars and brass cuttings too rallied by Rs 400 and Rs 300 per quintal respectively on lesser stock supply from stockists,trades said.
In non-ferrous metals, aluminium ingot increased by Rs 200 per quintal on renewed demand from stockists. Nickel cathode improved by Rs 5 per kg, traders added.
Ferrous Metals (per quintal):
Copper Heavy – Rs 49,500, Copper utensils – Rs 45,500, Brass utensils – Rs 34,600, Brass cuttings – Rs 35,500, and Aluminium utensils – Rs 12,300.
Non-ferrous Metals:
Copper wire bars – Rs 52,800, Aluminium ingots – Rs 15,300, Zinc slabs – Rs 15,900, Lead ingots – Rs 12,900, Tin slabs – Rs 1,590, and Nickel cathode – Rs 1,020.
