JAMMU, Dec 30: In reverence to the forthcoming 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the Guru Nanak Sewa Charitable Trust in collaboration with Guru Nanak International Kirtan Council launched the “Sehaj Paath Lehar” (Recital of Sehaj Paath by devotees) at Digiana Ashram, Jammu under the aegis of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
The “Sehaj Paath Lehar” was launched with the cooperation of Shrimaan Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji, Chief, Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib, Poonch, State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board Jammu & Kashmir and District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu.
Approximately 100 devotees took on to perform the Sehaj Paath. Sehaj Paath is the reading of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from beginning to end, with no time-limit for completion. The Bhog (Conclusion) of said Sehaj Paaths will be performed on 30th March 2019 at the Mahan Gurmat Samagam in which the devotees performing Sehaj Paath from Punjab shall come as Nagar Kirtan.
Tarlochan Singh Wazir, Chairman, Gurdwara Parbandhak Board, Jammu & Kashmir while appreciating the initiative of “Sehaj Paath Lehar” appealed every Sikh to perform Sehaj Paath in reverence to the forthcoming 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Prominent amongst those present were Shrimaan Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji, Ragi Jagtar Singh, president, Guru Nanak International Kirtan Council, Manjeet Singh, convener, Guru Nanak Sewa Charitable Trust, members of District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, members of Guru Nanak International Kirtan Council and members of Guru Nanak Sewa Charitable Trust.
