RAMBAN, Apr 30: As per NALSA’s annual calendar of activities for the month of April, 2024 and on the directions of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ramban, Ranbir Singh Jasrotia, Secretary, DLSA, Anjana Rajput today visited One Stop Centre (OSC), Palash, Children home for Boys, and Phulwari, Children Home for Girls under Mission Vatsalya.
Superintendent of Palash Saleem, Members of the Juvenile Justice Board, Shah Nawaz and Anjum Shafi, Case workers and educators of the one stop centers, Monika Devi and PLVs of district Ramban were also present on the occasion.
The main aim of the inspection was to assess the functioning of the OSCs and to review facilities provided to children residing in the help centers. Compliance to legal provisions and standards was also reviewed.
The Secretary DLSA asked the stakeholders to initiate measures to provide best facilities to the children residing in these centers.
During the inspection, it was revealed that the OSCs have provided a range of services and facilities to multiple persons in the past few months. The services include counselling, legal aid, medical assistance, self-help, etc.
In addition to this, everyone was made aware about the availability of the National Helpline number 181 for women, which provides round the clock support to women in distress and NALSA Helpline number 15100, which also offers assistance to women in need.
