Secy asks Labour Comm to look into issue of MEIL workers

JAMMU, Mar 16: The Commissioner Secretary Labour and Employment, J&K has urged the Labour Commissioner of UT to take appropriate action regarding 36 outsourced employees of MEIL Company engaged in construction of Rattle Hydel Project Drabshala, Kishtwar who were directly working with the company and were paid their wages by the company have now been amalgamated with labour supplier which is against the rulers.
Taking cognisance of a letter written by Tilak Raj Shan, Zonal president, Shiv Sena (Shinde) Chenab Valley that these employees who as per rules were entitled to regularisation by the company have been engaged with the labour supplier to debar them from the regularisation benefits which is total injustice with these hapless workers and also a gross violation of rules, The Commissioner Secretary Labour has urged Labour Commissioner to take appropriate action in the matter with intimation to the higher office.
Shan in his letter has prayed for continuation of the services of these hapless employees and dispensation of justice to them.
