SRINAGAR: Security forces on Wednesday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Awantipora in Pulwama district, official sources said here.
They said on a tip off about the presence of militants, troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at village Badrawan, Awantipora, in Pulwama early this morning. All the exit points were sealed and house-to-house searches launched, they said, adding that the operation was going on when the reports last came in. Details are awaited, they added.
