JAMMU, Feb 20: Asserting that the Central Government has given a free hand to the security forces, Yudhvir Sethi, vice president of Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that they are giving befitting reply to the anti-national elements within the country as well as the enemies sitting on the other side of the border. He also held the Valley-based parties and their leaders responsible for the disturbed situation in Kashmir.
“Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah have given complete powers and a free hand to the security forces to deal with anti-national forces within and outside the territory of the India. And this is visible in the strongest offences the security forces have made against the perpetrators of recent terrorist violence in Jammu and Kashmir,” said Sethi in a statement issued here, today.
“Culprits behind the Srinagar terror incident in which son of a famous Dhabha owner was shot at were arrested within 24 hours. Similarly, various terror plots have been foiled by police ahead of the time recent one being recovery of more than 6.5 kilograms IED recovered by Jammu police near the newly inaugurated multi-level Car Parking cum Commercial Complex at Jammu Bus Stand,” he said.
The senior BJP leader said that terrorism is in its last leg and BJP is committed to curb it in the very shortest time. “More than 250 terrorists who carried out terrorists violence in last one and a half year, have been eliminated by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, while over a 100 have been arrested,” he said.
Sethi further said that the Valley-based politicians are responsible for the disturbance in Kashmir Valley.
“Recently, son of a National Conference (NC) leader and sitting Member Parliament was arrested for delivering hate speech in a public rally during DDC elections,” he said.
Sethi said that the politicians of Kashmir Valley do not want peace in the Kashmir. “Their own existence is endangered because the agenda of peace and prosperity which the Centre has extended and implemented in Valley. To save their skin, they played a major role in the growth of anti-national activities in Kashmir Valley,” Sethi said, adding that such things will not be tolerated any more.
