Security forces celebrate Independence Day with patriotic fervour

JAMMU, Aug 16: Security forces celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour and zeal.
All the Jammu based units of CRPF celebrated Independence Day (Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav) with full vigour and enthusiasm. National Flag was hoisted at all the locations. On the occasion, a programme was organized at Group Centre CRPF Campus Jammu. The chief guest PS Ranpise, IGP, Jammu Sector hoisted the National Flag at the Quarter Guard in presence of senior officers, subordinate officers and jawans of CRPF Campus Jammu. On this occasion, peepal saplings were provided to the Group Center CRPF by “Peepal Save People Foundation Trust Jammu”. Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIG, Group Center CRPF, Jammu, TN Khutia, DIG, Jammu and Kashmir Zone, Pradeep Chandra, DIG, Ashok Samyal, DIG, Jammu Sector, Rakesh Sethi, DIG, CRPF Jammu Range, Sunnad Kumar Commandant Jammu Sector, Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant, Group Center CRPF, Jammu, Dr Hira Raja CMO (SG) and Dr MK Singh CMO (SG) Joint Hospital, CRPF, Jammu along with Pritam Singh Founder of Peepal Save People Foundation Trust and all gazetted officers and personnel actively participated in plantation of peepal saplings.
Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur celebrated Independence Day at Academy premises. Garib Dass, ADGP, Director SKPA Udhampur, who was chief guest on the occasion hoisted the national flag and inspected Independence Day Parade. Among others Mohan Lal, SSP, Dy Director (Indoor/ Outdoor), Vinay Kumar, SSP, Dy Director (Administration), Pawan Kumar, DySP, AD (Outdoor), Suraj Singh DySP, AD (Trg/R&D), Sunmati Gupta, DySP, AD (Q), Tahir
Hussain DySP, AD (Indoor), NGOs, trainees, staff and their family members were present on the occasion.
The Independence Day was celebrated at PTS Kathua with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Roop Raj (SSP) Principal SPS PTS Kathua presided over the function and hoisted the National Flag. During the function, contingents of 29th BRTC Batch held impressive March Past under the command of Inspector Kuldeep Kumar, CDI (Parade Commander) and SI Sham Lal, 2 I/C. A colourful cultural programme was also organized. Dr Amit Kumar Sharma AP (O) closely monitored the arrangements of outdoor, while Ranjit Singh SSP, Vice Principal PTS Kathua supervised all the arrangements for the smooth conduct of this National Function. Rajesh Jamwal, DySP AP (Indoor) was also present on the occasion. In the last, the vote of thanks was presented by Raghbir Singh, AP Admn, PTS Kathua. The proceedings were conducted by Inspector Sanjiv Sharma, Law Instructor. The function was concluded with National Anthem.
District Police Kathua celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour and zeal. On the occasion, SSP Kathua RC Kotwal unfurled the National Flag. He threw light on the importance of the day. A cultural programme was also presented on the occasion.
Indian Army unit at Kishtwar celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour at the Helipad location. The Independence Day was celebrated by hoisting of the Tricolour by Imam, Panditji, Garanthi, Veteran and a serving soldier. The event was celebrated with much pomp and gaiety with variety of cultural programme, weapon and equipment display and a video launch of a local blogger Sarvan Pandit.
Independence Day was celebrated at IRP-19th Battalion Headquarters Kathua. On the occasion, Benam Tosh, SSP, Commandant IRP-19th Battalion hoisted the National Flag and inspector ID parade and took salute at march past in the presence of other police officers. A cultural programme was also organized to celebrate the occasion.
