Season’s hottest day in Jammu, max temperature at 43.3 degrees

JAMMU, June 3: The winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir today witnessed the season’s hottest day, with the maximum recorded at 43.3 degree Celsius.
According to the Met official, ”The mercury will further soar in the coming days”. The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.2 degree Celsius. The weatherman predicted mainly clear sky with maximum and minimum temperatures likely to remain around 42 degrees and 26 degrees, respectively. The Jammu and Kashmir Government has also already closed schools for summer vacations from May 29 to July 17. Meanwhile, doctors have advised the elders and children to increase their fluid intake and cover their faces and bodies, while riding two-wheelers.
