JAMMU, Apr 15: Katra police joined by paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force today conducted searches in entire Katra town, the base camp of holy Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, and outskirts following inputs about presence of suspects.
SP Katra Naresh Singh told the Excelsior that search operation was launched in the town and outskirts this evening after a source input about presence of suspects in the town.
Searches continued till late tonight but no movement of any suspects was detected, he said adding that the search operation has been called off.
This was for the third time that the searches were conducted in the holy town following input regarding movement of suspects.
However, pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi Ji shrine continued uninterrupted during searches.
