Search continues for 3rd consecutive day

RAMBAN, Sept 2: Search operation, which was launched after a Tempo Traveller submerged into river Chenab near Mehar area of this district, continued for third consecutive day.
As reported, on August 31 this year, a tempo traveler submerged into river Chenab near Mehar area. 8 persons were feared dead, while one cop was rescued.
Soon after the incident, police team along with local volunteers launched search operation, which continued for third day today. Click here to watch video
The authorities of Baglihar Dam were also requested to slow down the flow of water to conduct the searches.
No clue of the submerged vehicle and feared dead persons were found when last reports were compiled.
However, a case under relevant sections has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
