JAMMU, Jan 19: The 10th Annual Raising Day function of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was organized at SDRF 2nd Battalion Headquarters Gulshan Ground here.
Vikas Gupta, Incharge DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
Vinod Kumar, DySP SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu welcomed the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikas Gupta congratulated all the SDRF personnel on Annual Raising Day of SDRF and appreciated the role of SDRF personnel for their dedication and professionalism shown during various rescue operations conducted by them in Jammu Province and other allied duties performed by the jawans from time to time. He highlighted the duties and responsibilities of SDRF personnel as first responders during disasters and pandemic like situations.
He gave the brief account of achievements of the year 2021 especially work done by the SDRF personnel during COVID-19 at DRDO, GMC, Chest Disease and Government Gandhi Nagar Hospital Jammu. He also appreciated the role of SDRF personnel during rescue operations conducted at Honzar Kishtwar. He stressed upon the jawans to keep their morale high.
In the end, Vinod Kumar, DySP SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu presented vote of thanks.
Among others Vidya Sagar, DySP Deputy Controller CD Udhampur, Arvinder Kotwal, DySP SDRF 2nd Battalion, Yashpaul Singh, DySP Area Commander Homeguards Samba were also present on the occasion.
