MENDHAR, Mar 27: The three samples of a construction work under MGNREGA were taken by SHO Mendhar on the directives of SDM Mendhar, Th Sher Singh today.
As per reports the SDM Mendhar got information that laying of tiles in a lane was not being done as per standard. The SDM visited the spot and issued instructions to the tehsildar Mendhar Salam Din who also accompanied him and the SHO to take samples of the work and get them tested in a lab.
The SDM on verification also came to know that the locals were not engaged for the work under MGNREGA and instead of Mendhar labourers from Mandi were engaged which is against the rules. He asked the SHO to probe the matter as the local job card holders are only engaged for MGNREGA works.
