JAMMU, Oct 20: In view of coming Diwali festival & ongoing festival season, SDM Marh led a market checking drive along with Food Safety Officer Jammu and team in main market Marh and Gajansoo area.
In today’s drive, the team lifted 3 samples of sweets, 1 sample of khoya burfi and 2 samples of paneer. Also challan was issued to one sweet shop owner under Section 58 for running the food business without a valid license which is mandatory requirement under Section 31 of FSSA 2006.
The SDM issued strict warning to all shopkeepers to maintain strict hygiene, good quality raw material for sweets, display rates of all items, cover all eatables properly and never try to overcharge from customers. SDM further maintained that this drive shall continue in future also.
