POONCH, Jan 11: Giving ten days ultimatum to administration, thousands of people of minority communities including District Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) under the banner of Sanatan Dharam Sabha led by its President Satish Sasan met DDC Poonch Tariq Ahmed Zargar and SSP Poonch Rajiv Pandey and expressed strong resentment against Revenue Department Poonch for tampering records of large number of prime locations in Poonch city in favour of Auqaf.
The delegation apprised the Administration about wrong role played by some officials of Revenue Department in converting various lands in favour of Auqaf including land of Degree College Ground and Media complex. They said that Auqaf authorities are issuing notices to even Army also in addition to many people in the city and it shows that Auqaf and Revenue Departments are working under a well planned conspiracy to change the demography of Poonch.
They also said that Fire Brigade building was allotted to a particular community and unfortunately the same practice is still going on. They demanded a Vigilance probe into the matter and said that all those Revenue officials who played this wrong act will be taken to task through Vigilance.
Some members of the delegation expressed apprehension that some anti- social elements are trying to force migration of minority community on the pattern of Kashmiri Pandits migration from Valley under a conspiracy. They said that minority community will not allow any foul play in Poonch and demanded a strict action from Government against those who are playing foul behind the curtains by showing every land as Auqaf land. The members of the delegation said that there is a great resentment among minority community against this well planned conspiracy of Auqaf and Revenue Departments.
Advocate Sanjay Raina, S Rajinder Singh general secretary DGPC, S. Anmol Singh president Guru Ram Dass Sewa Society, Advocate Chaman Lal, Basant Ram Sharma, Nishu Gupta, Sanjeev Sharma also expressed similar views in front of administration. The delegation gave ten days ultimatum to Government to take corrective measures.
