Sculpture of J&K artist at display in National Exhibition in Delhi

JAMMU, Jan 6: The sculpture of a renowned J&K artist is at display at National Exhibition of Paintings and Sculptures in ongoing Delhi World Book Fair, which began on January 5 and will last till January 13.
National Exhibition of Paintings and Sculptures made by Artists with Disabilities is a part of this programme. The Exhibition is being organized by National Book Trust of India in collaboration with an NGO, Family of Disabled (FoD).
Twenty-eight artists with different disabilities from all over the India are participating and showcasing their creations in this Exhibition. Among them is Ganesh Kumar Sharma, renowned sculptor of J&K, who belong to a small village Sanoora situated on International Border of district Samba. He has the distinction of having organized 22 solo shows of his sculptures in different parts of the Country.
He has participated in more than 30 group shows and about 300 state, national and international art exhibitions held in India and abroad. He has been awarded by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), Indian Academy of Fine Art, Amritsar, Punjab Lalit Academy Chandigarh and All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society.
Besides, Ganesh is recipient of National Award for his contributions in the field of Art and Culture. He is two times Gold Medalist from USA and is associated with numerous organizations working in the field of Art and Culture.
