SC/ST/OBC Confederation holds rallies at Kupwara, Ramnagar

RAMNAGAR, Nov 19: SC/ST/OBC and others reserved categories under the ages of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations  held  rallies/Protest at district headquarter Kupwara & Tehsil Ramnagar in Samba district.
A large number of people from various social & religious organizations & political leaders across the party line from all over the areas participated in it. The participants in these rallies demanded their constitutional rights/privileges being debarred by the pronouncements of High Court order be restored forthwith by initiating the necessary remedial action.
The  protesters said the Government  has utterly failed in protecting the Constitutional rights and privileges of the reserved categories in the Court of Law.
Mushtak Ahmed Khattana district president Kupwara  Confederation fully endorsed the agenda of the Confederation of J&K Unit working  under the leadership of R K Kalsotra. He highlighted the denial of Constitutional rights and privileges granted under the Reservation Act 2004  to the reserved categories  by the High Court.  He made a strong demand to the Govt. to take remedial legal actions to restore reservation in promotion.
He also gave a call to the people to participate in thousands in a 10 lacs rally to be held at Ramlila Ground, New Delhi on December 17 on this issue. Rally started from City Hotel Kupwara & culminated at DC office where a memorandum was submitted to  CM through  K Rajiv Ranjan, Dy Commissioner Kupwara.
Another  rally held at Ramnagar which starts from Guru Ravi Dass Temple and culminated at SDM Office Ramnagar where  Phambi Ram Tehsil President  submitted memorandum to SDM for CM .Others who accompanied him were Charan Dass, Kuldeep Kumar, Shafeeq Ahmed, Ajeet Kumar, Dina Nath, Anil Attri, Sanjay Rasyal. Rajinder Singh, Chetan Dewan .
