JAMMU, Feb 15: A scooty rider was killed in accident near Nandini tunnel on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here.
As per police sources, a man identified as Arun Jasrotia, son of Rachpal Singh, a resident of Ward Number 1 near Durga Temple Barwal District Kathua was seriously injured after an unknown vehicle hit scooty bearing registration number JK02CP-3169 near Nandini tunnel on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway late last night.
The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under FIR Number 24/2022 under Sections 279, 337 and 304-A IPC has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
