Scindia demands CBI probe into 2 MP bizmen in IT net

INDORE, June 30: Stating that rising corruption in the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh was a serious concern, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jyotiraditya Scindia today sought CBI probe into assets accumulated by two businessmen recently trapped by the Income Tax department.
Recent IT raids on builder Dilip Suryavanshi and mine- owner Sudhir Sharma have exposed the Shivraj Singh government’s hollow claim to contain corruption and black money, Scindia told a meet-the-press programme here.
The CBI and Enforcement Directorate should probe into the assets of these two businessmen who in the last six years made tons of black money, engaged in illegal mining, holding scores of lockers, thousands of dumpers, huge gold-silver and diamond jewelry and foreign currency, Scindia said.
“If CM Chouhan believes in transparency and want to run crusade against corruption and black money holders, then he should get it probed by CBI, and other central agencies to have …Dud ka dud, pani ka pani… In these two IT raids,” he said. (PTI)
