REASI, Nov 15: District Institute for Education and Trainings organized a two day District Science Exhibition which was inaugurated by the District Development Commissioner, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, here today.
Chief Education Officer, Ashok Kumar Sanyal and Principal DIET Darshan Lal were present on the occasion.
The DDC inspected the models put on display and interacted with students.
Around 30 schools participated in the competition. Awareness programmes under SVEEP is being made part of the Exhibition apart from educational and literary activities.
Principal DIET explained the themes of all the models and accompanied faculty as well as students who responded to queries. Models on disaster management, global warming, energy conservation, solid waste management, urban planning, development and environment were part of the exhibition. Students from remote areas presented models on rural technology.
Students interacted with the DDC and explained the scientific models developed at school level.
Chief Education Officer informed that the exhibition was organised after month long preparations and monitoring at school level.
The DDC asked the Education Department to organize an interactive programme with all the participants at the end of Exhibition.
This was 16th Annual Science Exhibition organized at Reasi.
