Schools to reopen in Kargil today

KARGIL, Aug 1: The district administration today ordered reopening of schools for Classes 9th to 12th from August 2.
An order to this effect was issued by District Magistrate Santosh Sukhadeve.
He ordered that residential schools for these classes may also be opened subject to RTPCR test of all students, teachers and employees.
However, the classes will be staggered in a manner that they are not filled with more than 50 percent of the seating capacity. As far as practicable, the classes will run in open area, he said.
The DM ordered that social, religious, academic, entertainment, educational, cultural and sports gathering besides political functions and congregations will be permitted outside Containment Zones up to a ceiling of 25 persons only or 50 percent of the hall capacity, whichever is less in case of indoor spaces.
In open spaces, the gatherings of 50 persons or 50 percent of the capacity of space with social distancing, whichever is less will be permitted.
Marriages attended by up to 50 persons and funerals/last rites attended by up to 20 persons will be allowed outside the Containment Zones.
