POONCH, Apr 24: The Zonal Education authorities, Kanuyian penalized four teachers after a Govt Primary School was found locked during duty hours and three of them found absent from duty in another Govt Middle School in the same area today.
Reports said Zonal Education Officer, Kanuyian (Poonch) paid surprise visit to Govt Primary School, Mohal Mohalla and found the school locked at around 3 pm. Both the teachers of this school, namely- Ravinder Kour and Sayeeda Begum were penalized. Their one day salary was deducted and one- day break entry made in the service record/book. The ZEO also took feed back from the villagers and Panchayat members about the working of the teachers.
In Govt Middle School, Kuharhian, the Education Officer found three teachers absent from duty. They were identified as Rakesh Chander, Mohd Rafiq and Ranjit Kour. Their salary was withheld and one day break was entered in their service record.
