JAMMU, Aug 2: A function was organized in Tariq College of Education to distribute scholarship cheques to the deserving students.
The function was organized under the chairmanship of Shoket Hussain Kazmi, Secretary, State Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari People.
ADC Rajouri, MS Malik was the guest of honour and the function was presided over by Sajjad Tariq, Pro-vice chairman, Tariq Education Society, Rajouri.
In the function, 33 students of Tariq College of Education and Tariq Paramedical College were distributed cheques of Rs 25000 each.
Speaking on the occasion, Kazmi said that it is just the beginning and not the end. He appreciated the efforts of Late Sharief Tariq and added that we should not forget the efforts of the people who scarified their lives for the masses.
Sajjad Tariq while speaking said this year we’ll give 50% concession in fee to five poor students of B.Ed.
MS Malik, ADC Rajouri, also remembered the works of late Sharief Tariq for keeping the base of this Board. He said that this Board has become fully functional now and will progress in right direction for the welfare of Pahari people. He added that we will also start other development programmes on the base level.
Earlier, Amandeep, principal, Tariq College of Education, welcomed the guests. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Mohd Fazal (Rtd CMO), Mukhtar Ahmed, Sunil Kumar, Sanjeev Mangu, Sarpanch Dassal, Lovely Sharma.
