JAMMU, Dec 17: Shastri Cricket Club (SCC) defeated Akhnoor Cricket Club (ACC) by 20 runs and registered berth in the final of the first round of the ongoing Christmas Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Whites Cricket Club at Country Cricket Academy Amb Gharota.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, SCC scored 162 runs by losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Deepak scored highest 65 runs in 40 bolls, while Chander scored 32 in 22 balls.
For ACC side, Lucky took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
Chasing the target, ACC scored only 142 runs after losing all the wickets and lost the match to SCC by 20 runs. Chandan scored highest 52 runs, while Lucky made 18 runs.
For SCC side, Puneet took 4 wickets, while Monu scalped 2 wickets
Puneet was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Deepu and Gugu as umpires, while Sahil Bhal maintained the scoreboard.
