JAMMU, Apr 3: In a big jolt to the State over the issue of premature retirements, Supreme Court has dismissed the SLP challenging order of Division Bench of J&K High Court regarding quashment of premature retirement of Satish Chander Khajuria, the then Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, Jammu Municipal Corporation.
The SLP was dismissed by a bench of Supreme Court comprising Justice Madan B Lokur and Justice Sanjay Krishan Koul.
The DB of State High Court had while quashing the premature retirement of Satish Chander Khajuria observed that registration of FIR or probe of certain alleged irregularities cannot be a ground to retire a person compulsorily when his APR entries are excellent and outstanding.
