SC stays HC order on docs’ practice

JAMMU, May 11: Supreme Court has stayed the order of the Division Bench of State High Court banning private practice by the State Government doctors and tuition by teachers.
The Division Bench of State High Court had on November 18, 2011 banned the private practice by the State Government doctors and tuition by teachers and against this order the State Government filed Special Leave to Appeal before the Supreme Court.
After hearing the counsels for the petitioner, Supreme Court bench comprising Justice D K Jain and Justice Anil R Dave condoned the delay in filing SLP and issued notice to the respondent—Vichar Kranti International and Others.
In the meantime, the Supreme Court stayed the operation of the impugned judgement.
