JAMMU, Sept 20: Supreme Court Bench comprising Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice K M Joseph has stayed the appointment of 40 Munsiffs selected through Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Judicial) Examination.
The order has been passed in a petition filed by Surekha Bhat challenging the selection list of 40 Munsiffs issued by the Public Service Commission.
After hearing the arguments, Supreme Court observed, “there seems change of game in between the process of selection of Civil Judge (Junior) and several times consideration zone has been changed in violation of rules”.
While staying the appointments, Supreme Court directed the J&K PSC to file reply and produce entire result record.
