JAMMU, May 11: All J&K SC, ST Retired Employees Forum has expressed grave concern over the policy of the State Government regarding the recruitment of ReT and other contractual appointments, wherein they alleged that the reservation to SC, ST and other reserved categories has been denied even at the time of their subsequent regularization against the regular posts.
In a meeting of the Forum held here, the members appealed the Government to give a due share of reservation to all the categories in such recruitments.
The Forum also urged the Government to announce the increase in rent of the land occupied by the Armed Forces in the State, most of which belongs to small land holders belonging to SC and ST communities.
As the rent of the occupied land is revised after every five years and the last revision was done on February 16, 2008, thus the present revision is due from February 16, 2013, the meeting said.
