JAMMU, May14: All India Confederation of SC ST OBC Organisations today wrote a letter to Lieutenant Governor, GC Murmu regarding the representation of SC/ST members in the newly constituted ‘Delimitation Commission’.
RK Kalsotra, State president said a delegation of the Confederation also had met the LG on 9 January this year to discuss the issue of delimitation of the constituencies and apprised him about the faulty census conducted in 2011 which is allegedly twisted against the interest of SC/ST communities.
He highlighted that the Confederation had a curate list of distinguished officers from the SC/ST communities, in fields of administration, policy making, scholars, social service etc, who could be considered to be the voice of vulnerable sections and could be accommodated as associate members in the Commission.
