SC, ST, BC Dev Corp provides loan to unemployed youth

JAMMU, Dec 21: With an objective of rendering financial assistance for the socio-economic upliftment of the weaker sections of the society, Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, provided loan to the unemployed youth of the target group at Jammu today.
In a programme held at Corporation head office, Vice-Chairperson (VC), Balbir Ram Rattan and Managing Director, RK Pandita, handed over the payment authority letters of individual beneficiaries for making payments directly in their bank accounts (DBT) in presence of Manager Finance, Anil Gupta and Jammu District Manager, Joginder Paul Atri.
Payment Authority Letters of a total of rupees seven lakh were distributed among four unemployed youth hailing from RS Pura and Jammu. Joginder Kumar of Jindlehar was provided rupees two lakh for opening of a provisional store, Daulat Ram of Mehsian was provided one lakh for vehicle repair work, Rohit Koli of Bawe Wali Gali was provided rupees two lakh for setting up of a Karyana shop and Sanjeev Kumar of Salehar was provided rupees two lakh for establishment of a hardware shop.
Balbir Ram Rattan, on this occasion, asked the beneficiaries to be regular in repaying their monthly instalments. He also asked them to share the Corporation schemes with the members of their communities so that they may also avail the benefits and earn their livelihood.
RK Pandita, while stressing upon the beneficiaries to make proper use of the loaned money and be self dependent instead of becoming burden on their parents, said that the Corporation is always at the service of the members of the target group. He also spoke on the modalities and the schemes of Apex Corporations meant for the benefit of the unemployed youth of reserved categories.
