NEW DELHI: SC directs Centre to proportionally allocate Rs 7.8 Cr to states where 12 special courts will be set up to hear cases against lawmakers.
State govts in consultation with high courts will set up fast-track courts and ensure they start functioning from March 1, 2018 said SC.
SC grants two months time to Centre to collect and collate data of pending cases against lawmakers across the country. (agencies)
