JAMMU, Mar 13: State Bank of India, Jammu Cantt branch opened SSK ( Self Service Kiosk) and CVM ( Coin Vending Machine ) in cantonment area of Jammu Cantt Branch, here today. Both the machines were inaugurated by Dy GOC HQ 26 Inf Division Brig JS Rajpurohit.
Regional Head of State Bank Rajesh Anand, Chief Manager Sunil Sharma along with staff were also present on the occasion.
Dy GOC Brig Rajpurohit thanked the State Bank for providing such technology and catering to the needs of the defence forces at top priority.
Regional Head Rajesh Anand, while interacting with the Dy GOC told that with the help of SSK using ATM card, Twenty( 20) types of transactions can be done e.g. pass book printing, funds transfer, bill payment on line, opening of time deposits, cheque book request, balance enquiry, mobile number & email registration, INB registration, stop cheque payment, account summary, SMS alert registration, SBI Life Insurance payment, reprint passbook, invoke stop cheque payment and loan statement. There was great demand from the customers for installation of SSK taking into consideration heavy footfall at the branch.
Where as in CVM ( Coin Vending Machine ) any individual can have coins of small denomination i.e. Rs 1,2,5 &10 by inserting currency notes for the equivalent value.
Speaking on this occasion, Dy GOC took pride in telling that State Bank of India is a pioneer not only in banking services but also in technology in a big way.
