JAMMU, Jan 1: Under Corporate Social Responsibility, State Bank of India, Jammu Cantt, donated five wheel chairs and five stretcher trolleys to G B Pant Hospital Satwari Jammu.
The Stretchers and trolleys were donated by P L Koul, Chief Manager State Bank of India Jammu Cant, in presence of Dr Gourav Kesar, in charge G D Pant Hospital Satwari Jammu.
The hospital, being run by the Cantonment Board, is providing health care facilities to the needy persons. The SBI donations were made under the leadership of Dy General Manager, A K Singh and Regional Manager Rajesh Anand.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Koul said that the State Bank is actively involved in the community service banking all over the country and is always ready to help the needy organizations /intuitions who render services to the humanity in the country. He also gave some brief details of different schemes of the bank.
The Bank had last year provided Fans, Water purifiers to thousands of schools and also actively participated in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by constructing toilets etc in different schools.
Dr Gourav Kesar thanked the Bank for donating the wheel chairs and Trolleys ,which will be of great help to the patients in the hospital.
On this occasion, Kripa Shanker, Chief Manager (Admin); P K Bhel, Abhey Deo, Lalit Kumar, Dr Neerupam Gupta, Dr Rakesh Gandotra, Dr Farmanullah, Dr Nancy Sharma, Dr Sourab Mahajan and Dr Shivam Bachloo were also present.
Bank also donated five stretcher trolleys under Corporate Social Responsibility to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The wheel chairs and stretcher trolleys were donated by Rajesh Anand, Regional Manager, SBI, RBO-2 Jammu and Sushil Hans, Chief Manager, SBI Gandhi Nagar branch, in the presence of Hospital Superintendent.
